Working with clay does not stop with throwing, hand-built
ceramics or sculpting. There is also a world of
possibilities through the use of plaster in combination with
clay. This varies from simple stamps or press moulds to
complicated casting moulds. Plaster enables one to make
refined and perfect shapes that can be endlessly repeated.
The course is an introduction to these techniques. Time will
be spent investigating form, composition and texture. During
the course a multi part mould (two or more) will be made
and cast. |
